This news has excited Environmental Students campaigning as "FIGHT FOR RIGHT"

Who We Are?

A team of Environmental Science and Environmental Management Students pursuing our education or completed from any college affiliated to any University of Nepal.

What we are forming?

A pressure Group to push the government to include the environmental experts in the mainstream of civil service of the government.

How Eligible are we?

Environment Protection Act 2053 and Environment Protection Rules 2054 includes the importance of environmental inspectors in the country.

Supreme Courts direction dated 2061-09-06 strictly commands the then Ministry of Population and Environment to immediately include environmental Experts as Environmental Inspectors in relevant Service Group.

What is the Government doing?

Various colleges in the country is producing Environmental Experts but government has not prioritized the importance of Technical Department of Environment under any ministry.

Moreover, Ministry of Environment is addressed as the last priority ministry from every aspects by the very literate, worlds most educated leaders of Nepal.

Not a single Technical Service Group is addressed for environmental expert in Civil Service, moreover, too good to hear, one single service group of Environment Expert is titled with qualification criteria of M.Sc in Chemistry. how fair is that?

Where from here?

As Forestry students utilize their technical know how in forestry Department under Ministry of Forest,

as Hydrology and meteorology students gets involved in various research and services in Department of Hydrology and Meteorology of Nepal's Government..and so on

It is the Right of the environment students to utilize their technical expertise in Department of Environment that the Government of Nepal Should Establish in near future.

Why are we inviting all?

We need support from media to publicize the issue for the noble cause,

we need support from senior environmentalists to guide us in the right direction,

we need support from well wishers and officials to suggest the modus operandi,

we need support from students to join hands together to fire the movement,

we need support from our leaders to help us help them in creating sustainable future..

To stop the Brain Drain and to utilize the produced technical experts in creating solutions to all environmental problems.

National Environment Students Meet '09

7th Falgun 2065

18th February, 2009

National Environment Students Meet was successfully completed.

Students from all Environment Teaching Colleges Participated in the meet.

The Meet was Highlighted by Presence of Dean, Science and Technology, Tribhuvan University and Vice Dean, Science and Technology, Tribhuvan University.

Mr. Ramesh Bhusal Mastered the Ceremony.

The guests expressed their words of support and encouraged the students to work in unity.

Also, representatives from all Colleges expressed their views, regarding the importance of the movement.

Next meet is arranged in SchEMES, on 24th February, 2009 TUESDAY.

Participants are Expected to Come up with Selected Active Members for the Formation of Committee for the Pressure Group. Also, students are expected to create a network of Contact between all Environmental students within the country.

Most importantly,

Few of the representing speakers from various colleges were expressing their personal views that in no way is aligned to the summary of the Gyapan Patra. This can direct the unity to wrong roads, So, let us all be fully responsible for what we all are working on.

As we are just starting the movement, let us be pre-informed on every nooks and cranny regarding the issue so that no such blunders repeats in near future.

Last but not the Least, we are preparing to face the government, to make them realise the importance of Environmental Experts in the country and to make them realise the presence of Law in this country.

We express Wishes for success to our "FIGHT FOR RIGHT".

FIGHT FOR RIGHT

Dear all,

 

We all are aware that, Environmental Graduates from different college and university in our country are struggling for a proper placement after their graduation. Their is a state provision for placement of Environment Officer in EPA 2053, all the Municipalities and Districts to monitor the environmental activities in our community through government. But, the gadget is not in the process of implementation even after very long time. Hence, to create a pressure for the government to implement the plans stated in the EPA as soon as possible, and to secure the future of the Environmental Graduate students in environment sector of our country, A situational paper (Gyapan Patra) has been submitted to Honerable Minister Mr. Ganesh Shah (Ministry of Environment, Science and Technology).

 

Hence, it is the need of time to unite all the concerned stakeholders related with environment professions like environmental students and professionals to raise from the ground and to unite the voice.

 

With this regard, a gathering is scheduled at Central Department of Environmental Science, TU, Kirtipur on 7th Falgun 2065 (Wednesday) at 1:00 PM Sharp. We are planning to form a pressure group for the implemention of the agendas. Hence, we would like to invite you all to support for the nobal cause.

 

Please circulate this message to all other collegues to participate in the program and give a little push.
